The General Investigation Department in the eastern city of Benghazi announced the arrest of three people on charges of possessing cannabis.

In the details of the incident, members of the General Investigation Department of the Benghazi Security Directorate implemented the directives of the director of security, Major General Ahmed Al-Shamekh, through a well-prepared plan by the head of the department, Colonel Ashraf Al-Shaltami.

During the roaming of the investigation elements in the Shabna area, they spotted a motor vehicle of the type “Hyundai Pikachu” in a suspicious location, which was pursued and seized, and on board were three people, and by searching the vehicle precautionarily, nine pieces of hashish were found.

According to the investigations, the identities of the suspects were revealed: Z.M.M.M., born in 1985, F.M.M., born in 1980, and F.F.M., born in 1979. They confessed to their involvement in the trade and sale of cannabis at a price of 100 dinars each.

The suspects were transferred to the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Agency to take the necessary legal action against them.
