The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of the Libyan Ministry of Defense announced its complete rejection of any attempt to stop work on oil facilities or stop the supply of oil and gas lines or infringe on them.
In an official statement, the agency indicated its complete rejection of what protesters did by closing the Sharara oil field and stopping the production process and considered this an act against the general interest of the state and Libyans.
The agency stressed that its mission is “to guard and protect oil facilities throughout Libya,” noting that “the current stage is sensitive and critical in building the nation that requires the concerted action of everyone in one row.”
The agency held legally responsible anyone who caused the closure of oil facilities that belong to Libyans.
