In a statement, the Libyan House of Representatives called for the immediate evacuation of the city of Al-Jamil from all armed formations without exception.
The Council explained in the statement that it followed the unfortunate events that took place in the city of Al-Jamil and the attacks that took place on state institutions in the city and on citizens, burning and intimidating their property.
The council added that it followed the peaceful mass demonstrations of the people of Gemayel, which demanded the exit of all armed formations from the city and the survival of the police and the regular army only in it.
The Council affirmed the justice of the demands of the people of the city and the importance of what he called for in many resolutions and statements of the need to end the presence of weapons outside the framework of the state in all Libyan cities.
The council also called on the government in charge of it to communicate with the people of the city to provide them with support and assistance.
It is noteworthy that the city of Al-Jamil witnessed during the current week armed clashes between the people of the city and groups from the city of Zawiya, after the people went out in mass demonstrations demanding the exit of armed formations.
