The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Counselor Miftah Muhammad Al-Qawi, called on the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, to join the lawsuit filed by the State of South Africa against Israel before the International Court of Justice.
South Africa has filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, arguing that Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip and is not working to punish those who incite genocide.
It also asked the court to order Israel to allow Palestinians displaced from their homes in the Gaza Strip to return, to stop depriving them of food, water, and humanitarian assistance, to ensure that Israelis do not incite genocide and to punish those who do so, and to allow an independent investigation into Israel’s military operations.
