During his participation in the “Russia-Islamic World” forum held these days in Kazan, Russia, Qaidi told Russia Today that “Libya is still virgin in the field of investment, and we hope that the Russian authorities and companies will start building Libya, which is in dire need today for reconstruction after the war that the country witnessed.”

The Libyan Minister of Investment stressed that the door is open to all Russian companies to invest in all sectors in Libya, including the energy sector, agriculture, industry, education and health, as Libya needs to build real infrastructure.

For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Libyan government-designate, Abdul Hadi al-Hawij, during his participation in the forum, called for the development of relations between Russia and Libya, and said that “the pace of relations must be greater, and the size of partnership, cooperation and economic, developmental, agricultural and industrial connectivity must be stronger.”
