The head of the Libyan government mandated by the House of Representatives, Osama Hammad, accused the Government of National Unity, headed by Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, of wasting the money of the Libyan people.

Hammad said in his speech during the “Peace and Reunification” forum in the presence of notables, elders, members of the House of Representatives and mayors of the western region, which was held in the city of Zawiya in western Libya: “We issued communiqués and decisions and took important measures to stop the tampering of the outgoing government of national unity and its waste of people’s money.”

“The actions of the outgoing government and the privatization of some companies will lead to the bankruptcy of the Libyan state in an unprecedented manner,” Hammad said.

“The Libyan government is the government of all Libyans without discrimination,” Hammad continued, adding: “Our comprehensive vision confirms the right of Libyans to parliamentary and presidential elections.”

Hammad stressed the need to reunite and work on the path of development and reconstruction in all cities with the support of the General Command and the House of Representatives.

Hammad praised the solidarity of all Libyans with Derna and the Green Mountain, and talked about the government’s handling of the crisis that the city of Zliten is currently going through, represented by the high level of groundwater, by providing the budget, mitigating its effects, and assigning a committee of experts to study its causes, dimensions, and implications.
