Ahmed AL-Naqi, a member of the State Council, announced that the committee assigned to resolve the crisis between the candidates for the presidency of the council has begun its work and has reached a set of solutions that will be announced soon.
This came in his statements, where AL anqi explained that the committee held two meetings with both Al-Mishri and Takala as part of its efforts to find a solution to the crisis and prevent the division of the council.
AL-Naqi said that the meetings with Al-Mishri and Takala resulted in proposing specific solutions, explaining that the committee is currently working to convince the parties of the necessity of holding a third round of negotiations, as the current document is considered valid and does not contain any defects.
He added that the two parties agreed to resort to the judiciary to resolve the issue of the cancelled document, and it was also agreed that Takala would remain in the position of interim president until the matter is decided.
AL-Naqi confirmed that Al-Mishri agreed to refer the matter to the judiciary or the legal committee of the council, and that any decision issued by these parties will be accepted and implemented in a final manner.
