The activities of the 57th edition of the Cairo International Fair kicked off, where Libya was chosen to be the guest of honor in this prominent event, which will continue until the ninth of next March.

Sherif El Mawardi, Chairman of the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of a number of prominent figures, including the President of the General Authority for Libyan Exhibitions, Essam Al-Oul, and the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Privatization Affairs in Libya.

Al-Mawardi welcomed Arab delegations and Egypt’s guests from the countries participating in the exhibition, including Kuwait and Nepal, and considered Libya the guest of honor this year.

Al-Mawardi stressed that Libya is participating with a delegation of 7 companies in the fields of industrial and real estate investments, holding services and insurance.

He added that Kuwait participates with 10 companies working in construction, electrical industries, cement, woodwork, packaging, sea, snack food and confectionery industries, while Nepal participates with its products.

Al-Mawardi explained that this year’s exhibition is witnessing the participation of various productive sectors, governorates, chambers of commerce and industry, export councils, the Enterprise Development Authority, the Industrial Modernization Center, as well as the Ministries of Military Production and Interior, with the participation of more than 200 companies on an exhibition area of 16,000 square meters.
