Libya ranked 146th globally and 16th in the Arab world on the Prosperity Index for 2023, according to a classification prepared by the British “Legatum” Institute.

The classification takes into account several criteria, the most important of which are the quality of the economy, the ease of doing business, achieving security and safety, health care and education, the business environment and governance, as well as personal freedoms, and the Institute’s classification includes 167 countries.

Denmark topped the first place for the world’s most prosperous and prosperous countries in 2023, followed by Sweden in second place, Norway in third place, Finland in fourth, and Switzerland in fifth.

The countries that came at the bottom of the index were: Central Africa in 165th place, followed by Yemen in 166th place, and South Sudan in last place in 167th place.

The UAE ranked first among the Arab countries and 44th globally, Qatar ranked second in the Arab world and 46th globally, followed by Kuwait in 60th place, Bahrain in 62nd place, and the Sultanate of Oman ranked 67th globally and fifth in the Arab world.
