A delegation from the Libya National Radio and Television Network participated in the 24th session of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which was held in Tunisia, after an absence that lasted several years.
The festival was held in the Chadli Al-Qalibi City of Culture in Tunisia during the period from June 26 to 29, under the slogan “Supporting Palestine,” in partnership with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Tunisian Television, Tunisian Radio, and Arabsat.
The Libyan delegation held multiple meetings with representatives of public radio and television networks, Arab and international media organizations, and production companies from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Tunisia.
The meetings aimed to reach understandings and agreements to enhance media cooperation through programmatic exchanges, joint workshops, training Libyan cadres, and creating opportunities for joint production in the fields of drama, artistic, cultural, and children’s programs.
The director of Libyan National Radio, Ahmed Al-Maqsabi, confirmed that the network’s management sought to be present at this event to demonstrate the return of Libyan media to the international and regional arena, with the aim of conveying the true picture of the media and artistic developments Libya is witnessing.
Al-Maqsabi pointed out that the parties participating in the festival expressed their welcome for the initiatives to work with the Libyan Radio and Television Network and stressed their desire to communicate and work together to strengthen and develop relations.
Al-Maqsabi explained that the Libyan delegation reached an understanding on a “draft agreement” with Tunisian television and Algerian radio, which paves the way for fruitful future cooperation.
