Minister of Education of the Government of National Unity, Musa Al-Magariaf took part in the high-level meeting of heads of Arab educational councils, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) in the Tunisian capital.
Ministers of Education and heads of educational councils in a number of Arab countries participated in the meeting, as well as a group of experts, academics, and specialists in educational and educational affairs.
According to the media office of the Libyan Ministry of Education, the meeting discussed many topics, including reforming education systems in the Arab world, where the attendees discussed reality, challenges, and forecasting the future, and reviewed the experiences of a number of participating Arab countries.
The meeting aims to enhance cooperation between heads of Arab educational councils, encourage cultural and knowledge exchange between Arab countries, identify priorities and develop strategies necessary to improve education systems in Arab countries.
The Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar confirmed that holding the meeting comes in line with the organization’s constitutional terms of reference, which emphasize coordination and assistance in exchanging expertise, information, and educational, cultural, and scientific experiments between Arab countries, which would enhance integration among them in policy-making. Educational education and updating strategies and plans, contributes to the development of the educational process in all its sub-systems, and enables the achievement of national and regional goals in the sector.
