The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in collaboration with Libya and Italy, has launched a new cooperation program to strengthen efforts to combat terrorism and its links to organized crime.

“Crime and terrorism have no borders, and international cooperation to combat them should be,” the office said via platform X.

The announcement comes in the context of the urgent need to strengthen international cooperation to address common security challenges, as organized crime and terrorism show an escalation in international threats.

This program is expected to play an important role in improving security and stability in Libya and strengthening efforts to combat crime at the national and international levels.
