During his meeting with the Minister of Economy and Trade in the Libyan Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huwaij, Russian Ambassador to Libya Haidar Aganin discussed prospects for developing bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
During this meeting, the two sides pointed to the need to activate cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry between Libya and Russia.
The Libyan Minister of Economy expressed readiness to send a Libyan delegation to Russia to develop discussions on trade and economic issues with relevant Russian structures and institutions.
On the other hand, a member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed with the Russian ambassador the latest developments in the political process in Libya, and a number of international and regional issues.
According to the media office of the Presidential Council, the meeting reviewed the initiative of the UN envoy to Libya related to dialogue between the main parties participating in the political process.
