Al Quwarah Police Station personnel were able to arrest a large group of illegal immigrants of different nationalities, as part of a large-scale security campaign within its jurisdiction.

The Security Directorate in Benghazi explained, in an official statement, that this operation came in implementation of a strict security plan developed by the head of Al Quwarah Police Station, aiming to maintain public security and confront the phenomenon of illegal immigration, which has become a major challenge in the region.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of a large number of expatriate workers, most of whom were of Egyptian, Sudanese and Chadian nationalities, and most of them did not carry identification papers.

The Security Directorate confirmed that these security campaigns will continue on a regular basis to limit the spread of illegal immigration within the jurisdiction of the center.

The security authorities in Benghazi are working to implement ongoing campaigns to verify the identification papers of foreigners residing in the city, in an attempt to enhance security stability and prevent any incidents that may be carried out by holders of illegal or expired residencies.
