The Libyan Ministry of Sports announced the hosting of the African qualifiers for the Wheelchair Basketball World Cup for the under-23 category.
The qualifiers will be held in Tripoli from June 12 to 16 in cooperation with the Libyan Paralympic Committee (Sports for Persons with Disabilities), where all preparations have been completed for the success of this sporting event.
The qualifiers will see the participation of teams from several Arab and African countries, including Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, and Sudan.
The event will not be limited to the competitive aspect, but also includes the establishment of four training courses under the supervision of the Confederation of African Football to raise the efficiency of participants and exchange experiences.
The preparation for the competition included intensive training for the Libyan national team under the leadership of Algerian coaches Ahmed Geagea and Abdeldhir Abdelkader.
The African Championships for Persons with Disabilities include the African Paralympic Games, which are held every four years, and include a wide range of sports such as athletics, wheelchair basketball, swimming, and others, and are part of the global Paralympic movement.
A summit of leaders from Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya launches an initiative to establish a new Maghreb bloc
