The Prime Minister-designate of Libya, Osama Hamad, met today, Thursday, in the city of Qobba, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, his first deputy, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and member of the Council, Idris Omran, in the presence of members of the committee to restructure the state’s general budget for state sectors and adopt a unified budget nationwide.

The government media office said that the meeting discussed the representatives’ comments on the state’s general budget approved by the House of Representatives last April, in which the changes taking place were taken into account to preserve public money and rationalize its spending, to preserve the country’s resources, in all sectors of the state, east, west and south.

Hamad also briefed the audience on the latest developments in the government’s work at all levels, the most important of which is the formation of a technical committee specialized in solving the problem of recurring electrical network outages, through which many problems were solved, the recurring outages were alleviated, and electricity was restored to a number of cities and regions.

The attendees were also briefed on the most prominent reconstruction projects undertaken by the government, along with the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, in many regions and cities, and the launch of secondary school certificate exams, in addition to the most prominent government decisions, including the decision to establish the General Health Insurance Fund, which will have three branches in Benghazi, Tripoli, and Sebha, The decision to establish the National Authority for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Autistic Children, and the decision to form a technical committee to study the reasons for the high rates of oncological diseases.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives appreciated the positions of the Prime Minister, in his diligent follow-up of all projects and problems and identifying them and the conditions of services provided to citizens in all cities and regions.
