Yesterday, Friday, the General Administration of Security Operations in Libya announced the distribution of free fuel to travelers coming from Tunisia through the Ras Jadir border crossing, after the seizure of fuel prepared for smuggling.

This measure came as part of law enforcement initiatives to reduce smuggling activities through the crossing and make optimal use of the seized resources.

The administration stated that travelers can refuel as soon as they pass through the security gate, as the fuel distributed was prepared for smuggling before it was seized by security patrols.

This announcement comes in the wake of the reopening of the Ras Jedir crossing last Monday after a three-month closure for the purposes of organizing and controlling security chaos.

The Libyan Minister of the Interior, Imad Trabelsi, and his Tunisian counterpart, Khaled Al-Nouri, confirmed their commitment to facilitating the movement of passengers in accordance with the minutes of a security agreement signed between the two sides.
