The Libyan city of Sabha is preparing to host the 12th edition of the “Fezzan Desert Rally”, which will start on January 13, 2024, with the participation of clubs, teams, professionals, and amateurs of mechanical sports in Libya and the Arab world.
The general program of the Fezzan 2024 Rally includes:
First day:
10:00 am – 14:00 pm: Technical inspection of contestants.
16:00 pm: Festival kick-off ceremony next to Sabha Castle and a parade of the participating teams.
Day Two:
08:00 AM 09:00 AM: The first stage of the race begins to the lakes and from there to the Desert Moon Resort.
Evening: Folkloric performances from cultural heritage.
Third day:
10:00 am: Opening of folk exhibitions and heritage performances.
Evening: The start of sand sports (sand volleyball, sandball, chess competition) with the continuation of popular teams.
Fourth day:
08:00 am – 09:00 am: Second stage of the race starts.
10:00 am: Bicycles and motorcycles show starts from Figuig to Al-Gharifa Forest.
Evening: Continuation of sand sports and parade.
Fifth day:
10:00 am: Camel racing with sports activities continuing
