The Municipal Council in the city of Misrata, in cooperation with the Libyan Red Crescent Society, is preparing to send a humanitarian relief convoy to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The move comes in response to the difficult conditions faced by residents there as a result of violent attacks on the area.
In a press release yesterday, Saturday, the Municipal Council issued an invitation to participate in this humanitarian campaign by donating in-kind and cash assistance, and donors can make their donations at the campaign’s headquarters in the exhibition grounds in the city center, where donations will be received until next Monday evening.
In a previous report issued by the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, the data showed that Libya was the second largest contributor to humanitarian aid to Gaza in mid-November, with a cargo of 546.9 tons, after Egypt, which provided 6,944 tons of aid.
