The media office of the Libyan Government of National Unity said that Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dabaiba had a phone call with Rapid Support Forces commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hemedti) and invited him to visit Libya.
The government said in a statement that the phone call dealt with the need to bring the views of the Sudanese parties closer together to establish peace and stability in brotherly Sudan.
The statement indicated that the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, will pay an official visit to Tripoli this week.
Dagalo expressed his thanks for Dabaiba’s invitation to visit Libya, which he will meet in the near future, adding that he appreciates Dabaiba’s initiative and efforts to support stability and peace in Sudan, explaining that they discussed developments in Sudan and put forward his vision to resolve the crisis from its roots.
