The Undersecretary of the Libyan Ministry of Economy and Trade, Suhail Bouchiha, announced that the country achieved oil revenues of $ 6 billion during the first quarter of this year.

Bouchiha revealed that expectations indicate an average revenue of $ 25 billion this year.

Libya’s economy relies mainly on oil revenues, and revenues from this sector last year amounted to approximately $20.69 billion, according to data from the Central Bank of Libya.

The Libyan government aims to raise oil production to 1.4 million barrels per day this year, with a plan to increase it to 2 million barrels per day by 2026.

In addition, Libya is seeking to expand oil and gas exploration and exploration, allocating $18 billion to invest in this area.

On his part, Buchiha pointed out the significant growth in the Libyan private sector, which increased by over 35% in the past year, contributing to the enhancement of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
