US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday that an oil tanker was attacked by the Houthis, causing an oil spill, and damaging it in the Red Sea.

The announcement came at a time when Houthi Ansar Allah forces continue to carry out operations in the Red Sea against Israeli, American and British ships, in support of Gaza and in response to the aggression launched by the United States and Britain on Yemen.

Israeli media revealed that there is criticism in Washington about the failure of the US fleet to intercept Houthi operations in the Red Sea, acknowledging that Yemen possesses sea-to-sea ballistic missiles and other military capabilities.

For his part, the leader of the “Ansar Allah” movement, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, confirmed the entry of submarine weapons in the confrontation in the Red Sea, pointing out that it is a weapon that worries the enemy.

“The available missiles have been developed to such an extent that the Americans cannot intercept or shoot them down with all the technology at their disposal,” al-Houthi said.

Houthi forces have carried out 13 qualitative operations in recent days against US ships and targets, al-Houthi said, adding that 183 missiles and drones were fired by Yemen at Israeli targets in Palestine.
