The activities of the International Scientific Conference were launched in the city of Benghazi, organized by the General Authority for Employment, affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives.
The conference, under the slogan “The Role of Small and Medium Enterprises in Reducing Unemployment in Libya”, witnessed wide participation from representatives of Arab countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco, in addition to participants from various Libyan cities.
The conference aims to discuss the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises as an effective tool to reduce unemployment in Libya and focuses on evaluating the role of the General Authority for Employment in supporting Libyan youth and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship.
The conference addresses vital topics such as economic changes, the challenges of establishing small projects and their financing mechanisms, in addition to encouraging the culture of self-employment.
The events witnessed the attendance of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif Erhuma, along with a number of members of the House of Representatives such as Aisha Al-Tablaqi and Sultana Al-Masmari, and the two Deputy Prime Ministers of the Libyan Government, Ali Al-Qatrani and Engineer Salem Al-Zadma, in addition to a number of ministers such as the Minister of Defense, Dr. Ehmed Houma, and the Minister of Health, Othman Abdul Jalil.
At the conclusion of the conference, a number of prominent figures were honored in recognition of their contributions, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, Khalifa Haftar, and the Prime Minister-designate of the Libyan government, Dr. Osama Hamad.
