The activities of the international scientific conference dedicated to the role of small, medium and micro enterprises in combating unemployment kicked off on Thursday in Benghazi, with the participation of prominent Arab and international delegations.
The conference witnessed a remarkable presence of members of the Libyan parliament, in addition to representatives of the government assigned by the Libyan House of Representatives and a number of ministers and those interested in developing the economic sector.
Delegations from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco also participated, reflecting the regional interest in enhancing cooperation in the fields of entrepreneurship and small projects.
This conference is held under the auspices of the Libyan Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, as it aims to shed light on the role of the General Authority for Employment in supporting Libyan youth and providing solutions to reduce unemployment by promoting the culture of initiative and entrepreneurship.
The conference also discusses the challenges facing the establishment of small and medium enterprises and examines their financing mechanisms and how to overcome obstacles to their success.
The conference is an important platform for exchanging experiences and views on the role of these projects in the national economy and focuses on the importance of training in enhancing entrepreneurship and ensuring the sustainability of projects.
Participants will discuss pivotal topics, including the impact of economic variables on youth, and the importance of freelance work as an alternative to traditional employment, which contributes to driving economic development in Libya.
