Social media platforms circulated a video of artist Laila Elwi dancing on the seashore to the tunes of the song “Jamdeen Jamdeen” by Tamer Hosni, and it was part of the promotion of her latest film, “Jowazah Toxic.”
Elawi accompanied the video with an interactive comment in which she asked about the end of her followers’ week, inviting them to watch the film.
The movie “Jowazah Toxic” is one of the most prominent films in the summer cinema race, as it has achieved significant revenues since its launch in Egyptian and Saudi cinemas.
The work presents a comedic story that revolves around Farida and Karim, who live a love story that faces challenges due to a misunderstanding in Dubai, and several fights after their return to Egypt due to family interference in their relationship.
The film “Jowazah Toxic” witnesses the participation of an elite group of stars alongside Laila Elawi, including Bayoumi Fouad, Heidi Karam, Mohamed Anwar, Malak Qura and Tamer Hagras, under the supervision of director Mohamed Karim and written by Louay Al-Sayed.
It is noteworthy that Laila Elwi shared the new promotional poster for the film in 2023 on her Instagram account, announcing the film’s release date.
