Kuwaiti court sentences death to sheikh from ruling family

Kuwait’s criminal court on Tuesday (December 26th) sentenced a sheikh from the ruling family to death for killing his friend.

The court punished the defendant Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the killer of Al-Bahri club player Abdulaziz Al-Zaatari, in a verdict that is not final.

The details of the case date back to last April, when Sheikh Sabah killed Zaatari due to disputes between them in the yard of the house of the murdered in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

Local media confirmed that in front of the eyes of the victim’s mother, the killer pointed his weapon at the dead man, and rained a hail of bullets, including 12 bullets in his body, which led to his death.

It is noteworthy that Zaatari is a player of the Marine Sports Club for water bikes, and the representative of the Kuwaiti team in this sport.
