Libyan National Army commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar received Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus Bey Yevkurov in Benghazi, and the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
The Russian embassy in Libya said in a statement that the negotiations took place in the city of Benghazi, and the two sides discussed the situation in Libya and bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them.
The General Command of the Libyan Army also said in a brief statement that Haftar received Yevkurov and his accompanying delegation at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi.
It is noteworthy that this meeting is the fourth for Field Marshal Haftar with Yevkurov since last August, and the last meeting between them was in the city of Benghazi on December 3.
