Speakers of the delegation of the Moroccan Party of Progress and Socialism currently visiting Mauritania and leaders of the Mauritanian Sawab party have been loud in condemnation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The speeches of this angry solidarity festival coincided with the International Day of the Arabic Language and were met with the chants of hundreds of Mauritanian politicians, culture, diplomats, and opinion leaders who flooded the halls of the Youth House in the center of the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.
The leaders of the progressive party and political forces in the Mauritanian “Sawab” (Baath) party and the Moroccan “Progress and Socialism” parties “strongly condemned the criminal Zionist aggression against the bereaved Palestinian cities amid global complicity with murderers and thugs.”
The preachers also condemned what they called “the shameful Arab official inaction that amounts to complicity with the brutality, filth and criminality of the perpetrators of the brutal aggression.”
During its visit to Mauritania, the delegation of the Moroccan Party of Progress and Socialism held meetings with the leadership of the Sawab party, as well as meetings with the Mauritanian political spectrum in the majority and opposition, and interviews with the President of the National Assembly and the heads of Mauritanian parliamentary groups.
