Italian club Fiorentina officially announced yesterday, Monday, the signing of Moroccan player Amir Richardson, coming from French club Stade de Reims, in a deal whose financial details were not disclosed.
Richardson is 22 years old, born in France, and recently won the bronze medal with the Moroccan national team at the Paris Olympics, achieving a historic achievement for Moroccan football.
In a statement to the club’s official website, Fiorentina expressed its happiness at signing Richardson, who is considered one of the promising talents in the midfield and indicated that the player will be presented to the media at a press conference on Tuesday.
Richardson previously played for the French youth team, participated in 7 international matches with the Moroccan first team and was part of the team’s squad in the African Cup of Nations held earlier this year.
During his career with Stade de Reims, he participated in 28 matches in the French first division, scoring 3 goals and contributing effectively to the team’s system.
