The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed that its air defenses intercepted Israeli attacks on Thursday night and Friday dawn in the southern region and around the capital, Damascus. The ministry stated that the damage was limited to material losses.
A Syrian military source told the official Syrian news agency ‘SANA’ that ‘at around 11:05 PM on Thursday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting some points in the southern region.’
The source added that ‘our air defense systems intercepted the aggression’s missiles, most of which were shot down, and the losses were limited to material damages.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense also announced that ‘Syrian air defense systems intercepted an Israeli aggression targeting points around the city of Damascus and shot down some of the hostile missiles.’
A military source mentioned that ‘around 1:20 AM on Friday, the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression from the direction of Lebanese territories, targeting several points around Damascus.’
The source added that ‘our air defense systems intercepted aggression missiles, shot down some of them, and the losses were limited to material damages.’
