The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” reported that Tel Aviv recently informed Cairo of its readiness to withdraw from the Rafah crossing and the “Philadelphia” axis adjacent to the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper reported that an Israeli security delegation will arrive in Cairo in the coming hours to discuss several points in the hostage deal agreement with the Egyptian side, stressing that Israel has expressed its approval on the issues related to the “Philadelphia” and Rafah axis according to certain conditions.

Reports indicated that an Egyptian security delegation will head to Doha today, Thursday, to participate in meetings aimed at reaching an agreement and a temporary ceasefire for a period of six weeks.

The “Hamas” movement had previously informed Egypt of its expectation of a complete cessation of military operations inside the Gaza Strip to continue negotiations and demanded the release of about 1,000 prisoners in exchange for keeping a third of the kidnapped people alive, in addition to the entry of 600 trucks daily for 42 days, and the start of aid operations, restoration of infrastructure, and the entry of 600 trucks daily for 42 days. Meanwhile, the newspaper confirmed that the Egyptian security delegation will participate in the meetings of the prisoner deal between Israel and the “Hamas” movement in Doha, which indicates intense international efforts to achieve a ceasefire and find humanitarian solutions to the situation in the Gaza Strip.
