Gunmen in Iraq on Wednesday (December 27th) released footage documenting the launch of a drone at a US base near Erbil airport, northern Iraq.

A statement by the militants said that the plane targeted the base, stressing “continuing to destroy enemy strongholds.”

A video documenting the launch of the march to the US base went viral online.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal wrote that a drone managed to bypass US defenses at a base in Iraq, where three Americans were injured, one seriously.

Sooner or later, that would have happened, and U.S. soldiers would be seriously harmed in “lethal targeting against our U.S. bases in the Middle East,” she said, noting that President Joe Biden was endangering U.S. forces.

And continued, in the context of criticizing the president, that US soldiers have become “drone hunters,” because Washington refuses to deter military formations in Iraq, especially considering its fear of getting involved in a larger conflict, pointing out that “Biden’s strikes did not deter symbolism, nor did they deter operations in Iraq, nor anywhere else.”

Adrian Watson of the National Security Council commented on operations against U.S. bases in Syria and Iraq by saying that “Biden does not prioritize the protection of American personnel who serve.”

On December 26, the militants announced the targeting of the American al-Shadadi base in Syria with a rocket barrage, stressing that “the targeting came in response to the massacres of the Israeli entity against the people in Gaza.”

A few days ago, gunmen confirmed that they had targeted a vital element in the Mediterranean with appropriate weapons, confirming a direct hit. They said in a statement that their operations came “as a continuation of their approach to resisting the occupation, in support of Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the occupation against Palestinian civilians, including children, women and the elderly.”

On the 17th of this month, the US media admitted that the US forces in Iraqi and Syrian territory have been subjected to more than 110 attacks since October 17.
