Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency has announced that it plans to provide social assistance to civilians affected by the conflict in Gaza and Khartoum from next week.
An official at the agency said the social assistance would include medicines and health equipment that would be sent from Indonesia on Garuda planes, according to Indonesia’s Antara news agency.
The official noted that several technical issues should be discussed with the working group, which consists of the foreign affairs and health ministries, before sending aid scheduled for next week.
The official said that in the absence of major obstacles, humanitarian aid from Indonesia would be sent twice to refugee camps for victims of the Palestinian and Sudanese conflicts.
The official stated that the total value of aid amounts to one million US dollars from the Indonesian government, in addition to additional assistance from donations collected by local volunteers.
