Marshal Haftar received in his office at the headquarters of the British Ambassador to Libya, and the two sides discussed the latest developments in the Libyan arena.
Haftar assured the British ambassador of the support of the General Command for the efforts of the United Nations mission to hold presidential and parliamentary elections to reach the stage of permanent stability in Libya.
For his part, the ambassador stressed the importance of resolving divisions that pose a threat to the security and stability of the country and undermine the chances of achieving progress and prosperity.
In another meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, he noted that compromise and consensus will provide a more stable basis for Libya’s future than any unilateral effort to impose a political solution.
