The Talbia area in Giza, southern Egypt, witnessed a horrific accident, where a powerful explosion occurred in a residential building, resulting in 13 people with burns and destruction in the vicinity of the incident.

The authorities received a report stating that an explosion had occurred inside a car garage containing an apartment used as a factory for soap production, and the security services moved from the Talbia police station, west of Giza governorate, and ambulances immediately after receiving the report to the scene of the incident.

Investigations showed that the explosion, caused by the mixing and ignition of some chemicals used in the production of soap, resulted in 13 people suffering burns and were taken to hospital for treatment.
