The Libyan basketball team received an honor in the city of Benghazi, for its unprecedented achievement for the first time in its history by winning the silver medal in the Arab Basketball Championship that was held recently in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The celebration was attended by a number of members of the sports delegation that represented Libya in the Arab Basketball Championship in Egypt, most notably the assistant coach, Ahmed Al-Awjali, the national team statistician Sofiane Amish, the national team player Abdul Salam Al-Rashdi, and sports commentator Ali Al-Abbar, in addition to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Syndicate of Sports Media in Libya, Nasr Al-Mahdawi, members of the Basketball Sub-Federation in Benghazi and a number of interested and followers of basketball.
