The commander of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti”, continued his regional tour, which began in late December, and arrived on Friday in Rwanda, as part of efforts to reach a solution to the conflict in Sudan.

Hemedti said in a post on his official page on the “X” platform: “I was honored today to meet His Excellency the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, as part of my visits, which included a number of brotherly and friendly countries to reflect the developments in our country in light of the war currently taking place.”

He added: “Rwanda represents an honorable model that we as Sudanese can be guided by its experience in achieving security, stability and sustainable peace.”

“We are determined to end this war for the benefit of our people and rebuild our country on new just foundations under true democratic rule.”

In the last week of December, Hemedti began his visits to East and Central African countries in his first public appearance outside Sudan since the outbreak of the military conflict between his forces and the Sudanese army on April 15, and Dagalo visited Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya and South Africa.
