Officials from the Interior Ministry of the government mandated by the House of Representatives held an expanded security meeting in Benghazi to discuss the stability of the eastern, southern, and southeastern regions, according to what the ministry’s Security Media Office published on its Facebook page.
The meeting was held at the office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior in Benghazi, during which attendees discussed ways to unify the efforts of the various components of the ministry “in order to maintain security and stability in the eastern, southern and southeastern regions, and to combat migration, smuggling and crime in all its forms, especially before it occurs,” the security media office said.
The meeting was chaired by Interior Minister Essam Abu Zriba accompanied by Undersecretary Faraj Qaim, and a statement said that Abu Zariba and Qaim praised during the meeting the tireless efforts of the security men and their continuous achievements, which raised the level of work of the Ministry of Interior to advanced levels and gave its employees high skills, in the implementation of the tasks and security duties assigned to them.
