A delegation from Sudanese Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum), led by Former Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, is preparing to head to South Sudan in response to an invitation from the Juba government to discuss a ceasefire in Sudan.
The media committee of the coordination said in a press statement: “The visit to Juba comes within the framework of the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces’ external tours to mobilize and integrate international and regional efforts to help give priority to the option of a peaceful solution to end the war in the country and address the catastrophic humanitarian situation, and then begin a negotiated political path to address national crisis.”
A source in the Coordination of Civil Democratic Forces (Taqaddum) revealed expected meetings in Juba starting next Thursday between “Taqadum” and the government of South Sudan, Head of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu and leader of the rebel Sudan Liberation Movement Abdul Wahid Mohamed al-Nur.
