The Libyan Prime Minister-designate by the House of Representatives, Dr. Osama Hamad, arrived in Egypt on an official visit, his first outside the country, and was received by the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, in the New Alamein City.
The Libyan delegation included several prominent figures, including the Director General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund, Belqasim Haftar, and the Chairman of the Reconstruction and Stability Committee, Hatem Al-Aribi.
The visit comes to discuss the role of Egyptian companies in the efforts to rebuild Libya and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as Dr. Hamad praised the strong support provided by Egypt to Libya, pointing to the fruitful cooperation between the two countries, especially after Hurricane Daniel that affected Libya last year.
For his part, Dr. Madbouly stressed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Libya in its path towards stability and growth, expressing his pride in the role played by Egyptian companies in the reconstruction process.
For his part, Belqasim Haftar praised the continuous support provided by Egypt to the Libyan people, especially in the wake of Hurricane “Daniel”.
During his meetings, which included the Egyptian Prime Minister and a number of Libyan officials, Haftar called for expanding the scope of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Haftar stressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by Egypt and expressed his appreciation for the role played by Egyptian companies in the reconstruction of Libya.
It is worth noting that an expanded meeting was held last July in Cairo, in which members of the Libyan-Egyptian Businessmen Council met with the Egyptian 10th of Ramadan Industrial Investors Association, and during which they discussed opening new markets for Egyptian industry, especially in the city of 10th of Ramadan.
After this meeting, the Vice President of the Libyan-Egyptian Businessmen Council, Mukhtar Al-Qala’i, revealed the participation of four of the largest Egyptian companies in reconstruction projects worth more than 4 billion dollars, which opens new markets for Egyptian industry, especially in the city of 10th of Ramadan.
