The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced the list of the best football coaches in the world for the 2022-2023 season, topped by Pep Guardiola by winning a historic treble with Manchester City.
The list includes a diverse group of coaches who left their mark in world and European championships, such as Lionel Scaloni, who led Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup, and Luciano Spalletti, who ended decades of absence from titles for Napoli in the Italian League.
The list also included Walid Regragui, who led the Moroccan national team and brought it to fourth place in the world in the World Cup tournament held in Qatar, and Xavi Hernandez, who regained control of Barcelona in the Spanish League.
The list also included other coaches such as Simone Inzaghi, José Luis Mendilibar, Eddie Howe, Frank Heiss and Urs Fischer.
A classification of the best international clubs was also announced, with Real Madrid maintaining its position as the best club in the world for the 2022-2023 season, strengthening its leadership thanks to its history full of achievements and titles, including 15 Champions League titles and 35 Spanish League titles.
These results were based on specific standards set by FIFA and based on scientific analysis of the football performance and successes of clubs around the world.
