Aswan Governor Ashraf Attia confirmed the governorate’s readiness to receive the guests of the eighth session of the Aswan International Women’s Film Festival, which will be held from 20 to 25 April, pointing out that the festival will have a special character this year through good and distinguished preparation and organization for it to direct it in an honorable and sophisticated manner.
The governor explained during his meeting with the scriptwriter Mohamed Abdel Khaleq, head of the festival, and journalist Hassan Abu Al-Ela, director of the festival, that the guests of the festival from Egyptians, Arabs and foreigners will see the bride of the infantry in her new dress after the epic development and beautification witnessed by the governorate, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to upgrade the capital of African youth, economy, and culture.
Attia pointed out that the Aswan Women’s Film Festival has become an important addition and an annual event for the tourism industry awaited by the people of the governorate in light of the great turnout witnessed by film screenings, and the sessions of the Note Forum for Women’s Issues with the participation of hundreds of girls and young people from Aswan in the various festival workshops, which achieved great successes in previous sessions.
For his part, Mohamed Abdel Khaleq and Hassan Abu Ela expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Aswan for his unlimited sponsorship and support for the success of the festival’s activities, achieving its goals and lofty message in a wonderful way, and following up on all the details related to the organization, and overcoming any obstacles with enlightened thought and vision, stressing that Aswan Governorate is a major partner in this artistic and cultural event that conveys to the world a civilized and real image of the people of the governorate who appreciate art and culture.
