An investigating judge at the Paris Criminal Court ordered the trial of rapper Nabil Boukhbaza, known as Nabes, on charges of raping a young woman while she was asleep in the fall of 2021.
For his part, Nabis, who is followed by about a million people on the Instagram platform, categorically denied the charges against him.
The young woman filed her complaint on October 1, 2021, noting that she spent an evening in Paris before being invited with her friends to Nabes’ table in a hotel, where the young woman confirmed that they slept in Nabes’s room and woke up having a sexual relationship without her consent.
The charge was brought against Nabes on October 23, 2021, and he was placed under judicial surveillance, and the prosecution requested that he be tried on February 23, 2024, which the judge followed up on.
Nabes released his first album in 2015 and gained wide fame thanks to his song “La Kiffance,” which achieved more than 186 million views on YouTube. In addition, his song “Best Life” achieved great success in the fall of 2021.
