French police said they killed a man of Sudanese origin in Paris’ 19th arrondissement on Saturday after he threatened police with a knife.
The prosecutor’s office said police shot the man who threatened them with a machete, and the man has no criminal record.
The man’s motives for this act are not yet known, and the French police are conducting further investigations.
