The father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, Munir Nasraoui, was stabbed on Wednesday evening in the Spanish city of Badalona and was taken to an emergency department, according to “La Vanguardia”.
Munir Nasraoui gained wide fame during Spain’s recent European Cup victory, where he celebrated with his son Lamine and the Spanish national team players after beating England in the final.
“La Vanguardia” reported that the incident took place in a parking lot in the Rocafunda neighborhood, and initial reports indicate that his condition is serious, although other sources said that it is stable.
The police opened an investigation into the incident, and some of the accused were arrested in the evening. The newspaper did not provide further details but indicated that the stabbing occurred after a clash between Nasraoui and the attackers in the afternoon, without revealing the motives behind the incident.
