A number of members of the European Parliament issued an official statement today addressing the International Federation of Football Association “FIFA” and the European Football Association “UEFA”, calling on them to expel the Israeli team from its participation in international football events.
This statement is the result of the brutal massacres committed by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian cities.
Members of the European Parliament expressed their strong displeasure at these serious violations of human rights and international laws.
It should be noted that this statement reflects the global popular and political rejection of the violence and oppression to which the Palestinian people are subjected and expresses the urgent need for international intervention to stop these acts of aggression and to demand human rights and social justice.
