Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed receives Leader of Sudan’s Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo commonly known as Hemedti in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. They discussed the latest Sudanese crisis and the ongoing war there.
“Earlier today I received Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and his delegation for a discussion on securing peace and stability in the Sudan,” Ethiopian Prime Minister said on X, the former twitter.
Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived in Addis Ababa today and he was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen at Bole International Airport.
His visit to Ethiopia is part of a the second leg of a rare publicly-announced foreign tour, which has already taken him to Uganda, where he met President Yoweri Museveni.
Daglo said he put forward a vision to engage in negotiations, cease hostilities, and rebuild the Sudanese state based on what he described as “new, just foundations.”
