The Speaker of the Ethiopian Federal Council, Agneho Teshager, announced Ethiopia’s readiness to enhance parliamentary cooperation with the BRICS countries.
“Ethiopia is ready to strengthen political, economic and popular relations with the BRICS member states through parliamentary cooperation,” Teshager stated.
During his participation in the tenth parliamentary forum of the BRICS countries in St. Petersburg, Russia, Teshager met with a number of Russian, Azerbaijani, and Iranian officials and held bilateral discussions with them.
These discussions focused on ways to enhance international parliamentary cooperation and deepen economic and political relations, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this context, the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Ethiopian delegation, led by Teshager, made a constructive contribution to the parliamentary forum, stressing Ethiopia’s commitment to strengthening relations with the BRICS countries and enhancing its role at the international level.
