According to Spanish media reports, security measures have been tightened at the venues of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final matches after threats from “ISIS” to carry out attacks.

Spanish radio station “Onda Cero” reported that the terrorist organization “ISIS” threatened to launch attacks at the four stadiums hosting the first-leg matches of the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after posting a picture with the inscription “Kill them all” along with the names of the four stadiums where the matches will be played.

The Spanish newspaper “Marca” indicated that nothing has changed at the moment, but security forces are closely monitoring the situation with special surveillance measures as the match is considered highly dangerous by the Ministry of the Interior.

On the other hand, the Catalan newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” stated: “The first-leg matches of the Champions League quarter-finals have already witnessed significant security deployment, but the state of alert has now increased somewhat after the alleged threat announcement from the Islamic State organization.”

The quarter-final matches of the UEFA Champions League are scheduled to take place at the following stadiums: Emirates Stadium (Arsenal), Parc des Princes (Paris Saint-Germain), Wanda Metropolitano Stadium (Atletico Madrid), and Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (Real Madrid).
