The Egyptian futsal team won four clean goals against its Libyan counterpart on Friday, within the African Championship held in Morocco.
The match took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall, where the Egyptian team was able to advance in the first half thanks to two goals signed by Mohamed Abdel Hamid Koki.
The team’s strong performances continued in the second half, with Mohamed Saeed Labib and Alaa Issa Dunga adding two more goals.
Egyptian goalkeeper Gamal Abdel Nasser shone in the match with a strong Libyan save, and Mohamed Abdel Hamid Koki also appeared, who succeeded in scoring two goals.
After the match, coach Jihad Arafa expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the players, while Mohammed Abu Al-Wafa, the futsal supervisor at the Football Association, expressed his happiness with the excellent result, which reflects the team’s good preparation.
Egypt is expected to face Namibia in its second group match on Sunday, and then meet Mauritania in the third meeting next Tuesday.
